Booth Design for Artistoric at the 2023 San Francisco Fall Show
Tara designed a booth at the 2023 San Francisco Fall Show for Artistoric, a New York based decorative arts gallery. The theme of this year’s show was “La Dolce Vita” so an emphasis was placed on Italian items from the gallery’s collection. Items displayed include an 18th century Wedgwood Etruscan amphora, late 19th century Salviati & Co. Murano glass vessels, a 1920 Longwy jardinière, 18th century Doccia porcelain dinner service, and a 1982 Memphis Milano porcelain set by Mattheo Thun. Tara selected a set of Michael Graves lacquered wood dining chairs, a 1950s Italian walnut dining table, and 1940s Frits Henningsen sideboard from Almond & Co., a furniture gallery based in San Francisco.
The San Francisco Fall Show is the longest running art, antiques, and design fair on the West Coast, renowned and respected across the globe and an integral part of the San Francisco Bay Area’s art and design communities. 2023 marked its 41st anniversary and the start of an ongoing affiliation between the San Francisco Fall Show and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (FAMSF.) The Show features over 40 of the top dealers from around the world, offering for sale an extraordinary range of fine and decorative arts representing all styles and periods, including paintings, furniture, precious metals, ceramics, jewelry, rugs, photography, works on paper, books, ethnographic art, and objets d’art.
About Artistoric: Artistoric is a research-based gallery that specializes in historically significant works of art with a primary focus on decorative arts. The Artistoric Collection differentiates itself with objects of both aesthetic and historic appeal. Through the production of original scholarship, Artistoric seeks to establish the historical significance of the objects in its collection, and amplify their appreciation and value. As such, Artistoric’s mission is aligned more with that of museums than that of traditional antiques and retail art galleries.
